The Site provides services allowing individuals to search and read prison inmate profiles for the sole purpose of contacting the inmate(s) in a legal and lawful manner. The Site services may also be located on third party web sites and/or applications either as a link from an add-on service to, or otherwise in connection with, Web sites and/or applications that such third parties control.
Users of the Site must be 18 years of age or older.
While the Site provides inmate profiles, Friends4Prisoners, LLC are not the publishers of the content provided by subscribers and are not responsible for the accuracy of any content found within the Site. Subscribers hold copyright to information posted and are liable for any information they may submit to the Site. Site visitors who elect to use our services are encouraged to verify information contained on in inmate profiles prior to any correspondence. This can be done by using state specific DOC (Department of Corrections) or DCJ (Department of Criminal Justice) links to resources or by personally contacting the Department of Corrections or Department of Criminal Justice where the inmate is located, directly.
The appropriate safeguards should be used in communicating with anyone that you may meet through the Site. By using the Site, you agree to not hold us responsible for any costs, liabilities, attorney’s fees, or damages that may be incurred.
The most common misuse of sites such as Ours is inmate scams relating to made up incidents that lead to the inmate’s need of money. You may be asked by the inmate to help with their situation financially. It is up to YOU to use your best judgment in situations such as this. If something seems suspicious that is because there is a good chance that it may be. It is your sole responsibility to make the decision to continue communication and/ or whether you offer financial assistance. This does not happen often but be aware that it does occur from time to time.
If you in any way feel harassed while communicating with an inmate or after ending communication by electronically, by mail, or any other means it should be reported. First, report the incident to the Department of Corrections or Department of Criminal Justice where the inmate is located and then secondly report the incident to Us.
All communication should be by mutual agreement by both parties and on a personal basis. Please do not send unsolicited mail to inmates. Also, solicitation of prisoners is strictly prohibited by all State and Federal Correctional Facilities. The Site is designed to connect prisoners with people on the outside where both parties seek friendship or a desired relationship. Violators who elect to disregard the Site Terms and Policies, and the laws and regulations of the Department of Corrections and Department of Criminal Justice will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The Site and services are provided “AS IS,” without guarantee or warranty of any kind. Friends4Prisoners, LLC disclaims any warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of title, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Neither Friends4Prisoners, LLC, nor any of its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, successors, assigns, content providers, or service providers will be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages or attorney fees arising out of use of the Site. Friends4Prisoners, LLC will not be liable for any material of web sites it links to as part of services provided including but not limited to search results. Because some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.
