Folks say Honesty is the best policy, however the brutal truth is too much for some to handle. Considered an "old soul" by those around me, much of my life experiences has kept me from repeating mistakes. Good or bad, I own the decisions made. The same rings true about the quality of people I surround myself with. Respect is earned, not given, and some learned that lesson the hard way. Perhaps, it may be why I'm provided with housing from the state. Although my sentence prevents me from going to the store right now, I'm thankful for an out date.
