Shaun Love's Introduction

My name is Shaun Love; I am 51 years old black male. I have been locked up a long time over a domestic situation that turned violent due to being blackmailed into something I did not want to do. Not going to make excuses. It is something I regret, and I am now paying for it. This happen when I was 22 years old. Still a boy. Virginia do not have parole, so I have not had the chance to go up for parole. My family has always had my back and filing in the courts on my behalf, for me. We are still hopeful. I have been down for 29 long years, but by the grace of God I am still here. I know there are people in Virginia that are trying to reinstate parole, but there are a lot of people who don't want it to happen which is beyond my belief, because prison is supposed to be for reform, not lock them up and throw away the key. Virginia is one of those states that believe in locking them up and ignoring them, and depending who the Governor is, and who you are, depends on if you will get out. Sad but true. I am hopeful that I will get out one day, cause God told me so, and I will stand on that. At this time I am just looking for a pen pal and communications with women on the outside. It just good to know that there are people outside these walls that care about all of us and know how important it is for outside contact. Friends that you have known forever seen to slowly disappear, but that is okay, because I am aware that people have to go on with their lives also.
