Rafael Vasquez's Introduction

Hey! Anybody out there? I am an honorably-discharged (Navy) combat veteran from San Antonio, Texas. In 1995 I was wrongfully convicted for crimes that never occurred. I have used this time to earn a bachelors degree in Behavioral Sciences and a master's degree in Literature (Sigma Tau Delta), from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I have also earned professional certificates in both Paralegal Law, and Private Investigations. As a writer, I have a novel, a collection of short stories. theatre playscripts, and a nonfiction manuscript exposing Texas' corrupt judicial system in work. (I'm not all warm and fuzzy about its prison system, either). To me, this is not about an opportunity to flirt or ask for anything; I love to learn about the day-to-day lives of other cultures, i.e., female middle-easterners, Ukranians, teen peer pressure/bullying, and other socioeconomically disadvantaged, marginalized persons. Communication, you see, breeds understanding. I would appreciate an opportunity to learn, to comprehend, the modern-day struggles of others. I can probably cover the cost of stamps and envelopes, if needed. It would be good to hear from you!
