meigo bailey's Introduction

this is kind of new to me, but there is a first time for everything right? am currently incarcerated and looking to meet someone interesting to correspond with. I've heard that this is a great place to meet new people and maybe build some lasting relationships along the way. A little bit about myself I'm 40 years old 6'3 and athletic build, I try to work out at least once daily. I'm currently serving a life sentence, and have been incarcerated since I was 20 years old, yeah that's 20 years I can hardly believe it myself at times, but I'm still fighting my case and remain optimistic. I only ask that you don't draft a preconceived notion without getting to know me. I would like to think that I've used most of my time incarcerated wisely since incarcerated I've gained my GED, written a few books, writing has become a passion of mines especially when it comes to poetry, am not one to toot my own harm, but I would like to think am no slouch maybe one day I will be able to share a few of them with you and let you be the judge. over the years several family members and and friends have drift away, some have passed on, others have moved on with their lives while others still try to keep in touch when they can. I've learned a lot about myself since I've been incarcerated things that have helped mold me into the man I'm today. sometimes i look into the mirror and find myself astound because of the difference in the reflection of the person staring back at me now than the one ten years ago this has help me build a better relationship with the people still in my life this place have definitely helped me mature mentally and has given me a different perspective on life, maturity doesn't come with age unfortunately something I had to learn, this comes with growth, having a opened mind, and the willingness to see things from another's point of view. I've read countless books over the years topics varying, I definitely like to read it allows me to learn things I thought was once meaningless and insignificant I would like to think that I can hold a conversation on any topic and not get lost very easily no matter course of the conversation. I've learned not to take anything for granted no matter how small or insignificant it may seem at the time but be grateful...I used to be Touter, I've helped various different guys to get their GED just to have them feel some form of accomplishment so they can look back on their time in here and say it wasn't wasted, but something meaningful was accomplished that can propel them towards gaining meaningful employment, without the need to turn back to the streets and risk not being there for their kids and family again once they're released. that's me doing my part on trying to keep the recidivism down,so much guys in here including myself have made countless prayers that one day we will be giving the opportunity to set foot on the outside.. I've seen countless dude get out and make it while others get out and come back within, some days, months, years and others never..it hurts to see guys come back in here,I know some will come back but it still doesn't make it hurt anyless. when others will give anything just for a opportunity. Am sorry I've been going on and on about me,I would love to hear about you. what interest you? likes and dislikes, I would consider myself a conduit of sort so much more I would like to say but this is just the beginning phase and there will be future opportunity for us to learn more about each other, well until then take care of yourself and be safe as can be...if interested and would like know more about me you u can contact me via jpay and or through the securus app where it allows you to send emails or you can write me at this address: meigo bailey DC # j33262 P.O box 23608 Tampa,Florida 33603...prisons in Florida and many other states no longer allow inmates to receive physical mail anymore, letters are send to the address mentioned above where they are scanned and then send to us via securus app.but the address that I'm currently incarcerated at is Walton correctional institution 691 institution road defuniak springs, Florida 33244, at this address i can get stuff like newspapers, books, magazines from publishers...letters from friends and family will go to the Tampa p.o box address. I pushed out on December 5...to the compassion project...how long to pushing out and getting a response????
