Nathaniel Williams's Introduction

I enjoy long walks on the yard & can get lost in the way light from a sunrise from the barbed wire. I should probably mention I live in a "gated community," lol, but onto a more serious note: I've spent my whole life feeling lost in darkness & hopeless, It all changed one day when my son came to visit me. My 2 year old ran to me smiling as if it wan't his first time meeting me & I wasn't covered in tattoos & prison blues. I saw light that day, found hope. As he lay in my lap, sleeping with his head on my chest, I struggled to keep the tears from splashing him as they slid like crazy down my cheeks. Something broken inside me clicked into place, a void filled, like a missing puzzle piece clicking in place, I came to find I never knew love until that moment. I found a calm, as the storms of my soul found comfort & peace, nothing has ever been the same. I've been completing programs, classes, courses, I'm a few semesters deep into college, learning spanish, just finished an 18 month "Boot Camp" & got paroled to my last sentence. I have a strong support network & plan in place. In a couple months I'll go to "camp" where I can help fight wildfires. The following year I'll be in a transitional center in Reno where I can work & go to school in the community. But enough about me, I'm looking forward to hearing from you & all about you.
